LISTEN: Arizona Sen. John McCain: President Obama Deserves "Great Credit"; Al Qaeda Retaliation Doesn't Worry Him More Today Than Yesterday

Arizona Senator John McCain was interviewed by phone this morning by KTVK's (Channel 3, Phoenix) Tara Hitchcock. He twice gave explicit praise of President Obama for his role in the strike that killed Usama Bin Laden, and he does not believe that Al Qaeda is holding any attacks in reserve that make it more likely that they will retaliate.

He also deftly side-stepped a question about whether his opinion on waterboarding would change if it is confirmed that some of the key intelligence for yesterday's strike came from illegal torture methods. McCain reiterated that bad intel often comes from improper interrogation methods and that good intel often comes from accepted interrogation methods.
